CARFACE is a widget app. It does not need an account, and the things you put into a widget do not leave your device. This page says exactly what happens to what.

What stays on your device

Photos you add to a widget — they are read from your photo library and rendered on-device.Text you type into a widget or a text-to-speech sound.Audio clips you upload as a connection sound.Which layout, sound and settings you chose.

None of the above is uploaded to us. There is no CARFACE account, so there is nothing on our side to attach it to.

What we do receive

Anonymous usage and crash data through Apple’s standard reporting, if you allowed sharing with developers in iOS.Purchase and subscription status, handled by Apple — we never see your payment details.Anything you send us yourself by email.

Music services

If you connect Apple Music or Spotify, the app reads what is currently playing so it can show the matching lyric line. That request goes to the service you connected, under their terms. We do not store your listening history.

Permissions the app asks for

Photos — to put your own picture in a widget. Read only, and only what you pick.Microphone — only if you use Shazam Mode to identify a song playing around you.Media & Apple Music — to read the now-playing track for lyrics.

Each one is optional. Decline it and the rest of the app keeps working.

Children

CARFACE is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
